Introduction:
It
is the year 2145. One of earth's manned spaceships, to the planet Mars,
diverted from its normal course and entered a stable wormhole, catapulting
it trillions of light years to a distant planet very much like earth. Its
inhabitants resemble humans on earth. As the involuntary visit on 'Bearth'
continues, our crew members learn, that Bearth is suffering from numerous
problems: 'Bumans' suffer from various illnesses to their 'b'human body
systems. They achieved a culture similarily to earth's but they haven't
developed any science worth mentioning. They do not know how to stay healthy
nor anything about the functions of their bodies.
Vlad,
senior of our expedition team, suggests to take a delegation of 'Bhumans'
back to earth to learn more about 'b'human's bodily systems and how to
keep them healthy and working.
On
its way back to earth, Vlad radios the following message to earth:
"Mars
Messenger 7 to earth: Due to unexpected encounter with parallel world,
will return with delegation from Bearth. Assemble team of experts to instruct
delegation of functions and maintenance of human body systems! Each expert
needs to be able to explain his or her assigned body system. The team itself
needs to give advice on how to maintain good health!"
The
head of earth counsel appoints a team of experts to inform and instruct
the members of the delegation on how to achieve a better health.
It
is early in the morning and you are still peacefully asleep in bed when
the telephone rings. You lift the receiver and hear a familiar voice. It
is your biology teacher! She says:
"Good
morning. Sorry for waking you up so early in the morning but there is a
real emergency. As a student in my biology class you have been chosen as
one expert of the 'BEARTH-ADVISORY-TEAM'.Bearth needs your help! I have
compiled a set of instructions and resources for you. You need to power
up your computer immediately and connect to the Mission Briefing. You will
find all necessary information there! Make sure to report progress to me.
I also will be at your disposal during allotted classtime and through e-mail.
Good luck!"
She
hangs up the phone. You are rubbing your sleepy eyes and wonder what you
will be up to. Yes, there was a report on the news yesterday about this
failed Mars mission, you think to yourself. Instead of investigating Mars
for urgently needed resources they brought back a bunch of sick aliens.
What do I have to do with that? Ok, let me go online and check out what
the teach means. Boy, some morning!
